Tectonic is providing engineering and related design services for the rehabilitation of two existing railroad bridges to carry the South County Trailway. One bridge is 209 feet long and crosses over the Cross County Parkway. The other bridge is a 108 foot long single span structure crossing over Yonkers Avenue. The existing steel structures are currently is posted for a 7 ton limit.
Tectonic’s services for each bridge include in-depth condition inspection, a load rating analysis, preparation of a preliminary design report with a construction cost estimate, preparation of design development documents and construction plans and specifications for repair of the structures and construction of the trailway over the bridge structure. Tectonic is also providing bid phase and construction phase services including review of the shop drawing submittals and periodic site visits.
